PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building unit which can be easily and efficiently reinforced at factory, and an unit building assembled by the building units. SOLUTION: A composite building unit 4 wherein a first small building unit 4-1 having four columns 41 erected at the four corners of a rectangular shape and a second small building unit 4-2 having four columns 41 erected at the four corners of the rectangular shape are coupled together by connecting oppositely their sides each other are installed on the small building unit 3 downstairs with the second small building unit 4-2 protruded in the outdoor direction.
