PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car conveyor having excellent safety and being capable of simply conveying a car without complicating conveyance control and a mechanical type parking device with it. SOLUTION: In car conveying sections 21, 31, 41 and 51, conveying bodies 61 are endlessly juxtaposed in a manner that the bodies 61 can be circulated and driven when a lift 18 reaches. The conveying bodies 61 are circulated and driven by using well-known drive mechanism (such as the drive mechanism such as a slat conveyor) in the car conveying sections 21, 31, 41 and 51, and the cars V placed on the bodies 61 are conveyed between an entering-leaving berth 12 and the lift 18, among the lift 18 and travelling trucks 17 and among the trucks 17 and each parking chamber 16. In the section 21, the above- mentioned connection releasing member 69 is disposed at a place corresponding to the berth 12 and a curved section 23 in the lift 18, and the bodies 61 are moved under the state in which a mutual connection is released.
