PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test piece and an evaluation method for the adaptability of a ceramic base material to a ceramic glaze by which a stress generating in between the base material and the glaze at burning can be evaluated in consideration of the influence of mutual effect. SOLUTION: This test piece used for the evaluation of adaptability of the ceramic base material and the ceramic glaze, comprises a laminated formed body of the base material and a glazed layer prepared by glazing one of two large area surfaces except the thin surface of the laminated formed body. The large area surface has a long and a short edges, and the surface form is either one selected from an elliptical shape, semicircle, V-shape, L-shape and U-shape. The glazed layer is formed by glazing the surface of the side large in length between the short edges in both ends thereof.
