PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the swing of an elevation mast and instability in travel even when a stacker crane is enlarged. SOLUTION: A motor 53 for a fork is controlled actually by a controller 54 of an inverter 55 provided in an elevation table 3. By this constitution, a burden in a crane controller side is reduced, signal lines for a left projection detection limit switch 61, a right projection detection limit switch 62, and a retreat detection limit switch 63 are not required to be laid around the crane controller side by a movable cable as in the prior art, the number of cores of the cable is thereby reduced, the thin and light cable is allowed to be used, and the swing of the elevation mast affected by swing of the movable cable under the travel is reduced to the unstable travel.
