The closure for a sports boot has a rack (1) mounted on the boot (3) by a disc (4) engaging into the rack and rotatably mounted eccentrically on a connecting rivet (2) to the boot, to allow the rack to occupy two extreme positions. The rack completely encloses the disc and the latter is applied against the rack by the rivet to cause a friction force to stabilize the adjustment. the disc has an offset opening to allow adjustment using a tool.
