PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut that effectively prevents galling, scuffing, or idling caused by slanted assembly when a bolt and nut are obliquely assembled. SOLUTION: In the nut 1 having a screw thread portion 2 on an inner periphery, an entrance width W of the screw thread portion is expanded at a started portion 3 of a thread in such a way that a notched shape 3A is arranged on an entrance side of the screw thread portion at an angle of 10 deg. to 80 deg. against an edge portion 1A of the entrance of the nut 1. Further, in the starting portion 3 of the expanded thread, the thread of the bolt is smoothly guided in such a way that a starting incomplete thread portion 31 stands to the height of a complete thread within a rangeαof 60 deg. turn from its starting end.
