PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a screw part of a tightening nut to fix an inner ring of a thrust bearing and a key groove machining unit to constitute a caulking part to prevent loosening are required in the configuration of supporting a conventional input shaft via the thrust bearings, and the total length of the input shaft is increased. SOLUTION: In the configuration that a pinion shaft 41 is rotatably supported by a gear case 5 via thrust bearings 43 and 44, a sleeve 51 is externally fitted on the pinion shaft outside the thrust bearings via an O-ring 49, a seal 52 is interposed between the sleeve and the gear case, the nut 50 is screwed to the outer side of the sleeve, the pinion shaft is supported and fixed by tightening and fixing the nut, a spline groove 41a is formed on the outer side of the pinion shaft, a male screw is formed on an inner end part of the spline groove, and the nut is tightened and fixed thereto.
