PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive supply of a molten resin in the direction of one side part and to suppress concentration of a stress and warpage of a product, even when a gate is disposed at a position eccentric to one side part from the central part of a cavity. SOLUTION: In a mold and a method for injection molding, a resin molded article is formed by injecting the molten resin into the cavity 6 from a molten resin injection hole 5 in the central part of the gate 4. A gap between the fore end face of the gate 4 surrounding the injection hole 5 and the inner surface 3a of the cavity opposite to the fore end face of the gate is made to have differences in dimension in the circumferential direction. The flow rate of the molten resin is regulated and the quantity of the resin flowing to the direction of the smaller dimension of the gap is controlled, by the dimensions of the gap, while the molten resin in a larger quantity is made to flow smoothly in the direction of the larger dimension of the gap.
