<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch structure of an automatic transmission which can receive the thrust load applied to a clutch drum, reduce the stress of opening on the opening end face side of the clutch drum, and arbitrarily set particulars of a spline groove formed in outer and inner circumferential surfaces of the clutch drum. SOLUTION: The clutch drum 81 comprises a supported part 83 and a hood part 84, the supported part 83 comprises an outer cylindrical part 83a and an end plate part 83b extended inwardly from a front end thereof, and formed in a U-shaped by the end plate part 83b forming a receiving surface of a thrust bearing 65 and an inner cylindrical part 83c which is extended backward from an inner circumferential edge thereof and rotatably supported by a sleeve 210 via a bush 82. The hood part 84 comprises a small cylindrical part 84a to constitute a cylinder and a large cylindrical part 84b with a friction coupling member 86 built therein. The friction-coupling member 86 is disposed between a rear cylindrical part 84d of the large cylindrical part 84b and a clutch hub 85, a first clutch 60 is built inside a front cylindrical part 84e, and a thick-walled part is formed on a tip part thereof.</p> |
