<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that reduces the risk of nosocomial infection of an infectious disease. SOLUTION: Water from a water supply source flows into a hot water storage tank 2 via a solenoid stop valve 7 and a feed pipe 3. When the solenoid stop valve 7 is opened, hot water heated up to an appropriate temperature in the hot water storage tank 2 is discharged from an automatic faucet 10 via a hot water delivery pipe 4 and a check valve 31. When a user removes hands, a valve opening signal is stopped to close the solenoid stop valve 7 and stop the discharge from the automatic faucet 10. The noncontact hot water supply is sanitary. The check valve 31 disposed in the hot water delivery pipe 4, which is closed while hot water use is stopped, can prevent bacteria intruding into the spout of the faucet from intruding into the hot water storage tank. Evaporation of a chlorine component in the hot water storage tank is prevented.</p> |
