PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal mechanism for operating a brake and a directional lock. SOLUTION: A machine device 6 has three states corresponding to three positions of an actuator. This pedal mechanism 4 comprises a supporting structure body 24, first and second arms pivotably attached to the supporting structure body and having slots, first and second latches 62, 64 pivotably attached to the first and second arms, a pivot component 40 pivotably attached to the supporting structure body, and mechanisms 52, 54, 56 converting pivoting of the pivot component to movement of the actuator (turning of a laver and the like). The pivot component is provided with first and second projecting portions 42, 44 penetrating the slots of the first and second arms and projecting out. The pedal arms, the latches, and the pivot component cooperate to depress one pedal at a time, thereby controlling a position of the actuator.
