PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively remove deposits such as coal powder from a spoon like sampling tool inner face. SOLUTION: In the spoon type sampling device for coal, a spoon like sampling tool 11 is provided on a tip of a hollow turning arm 10, a coal sample is sampled by the sampling tool 11, the sampling tool 11 is guided to a required position Q by turning the turning arm 10, and the coal sample in the sampling tool 11 is delivered to the required position Q. A pressurized air jetting hole 20 is provided in an inner face base of the sampling tool, and deposits such as coal powder or moisture of the sampling tool 11 inner face are blown by pressurized air (a) from the jetting hole 20. The blowing is carried out right after delivering the sample. If the pressure jetting hole is provided on the sampling tool itself, the jetting hole can be provided in an optional position as long as there is no hindrance to air piping, and the deposits can be smoothly removed. A cross sectionally triangular cover 14 is provided on a top face of the turning arm 10 to prevent accumulation of dust or the like.
