PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a mirror which has an up to 99.5% reflection factor and a dispersion compensating function has too large loss for use for many-time reflection and does not have sufficient dispersion compensation characteristics although the mirror is proposed for a wide wavelength range of 100 nm at about 800 nm as a mirror used inside or outside a large-output variable-wavelength or wavelength-selective pulse laser resonator with narrow pulse width of tens of femtoseconds. SOLUTION: The mirror which has a >=99.9% reflection factor over 100 nm at a wavelength of 700 to 900 nm and has superior dispersion compensation characteristics can be actualized by using a dielectric multi-layered layer formed of a layer obtained by laminating alternate low-refractive-index layers and high-refractive-index layers having 1/4 wavelength and a layer obtained by laminating alternate low and high refractive-index layers shifted from 1/4 wavelength within a range of -40 to +100% and high-refractive-index layers.
