PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure favorable even charge combustion and stratified charge combustion in a cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine by generating a strong tumble flow in a cylinder in an intake stroke during the even charge combustion and by generating no tumble flow in the cylinder during the stratified charge combustion. SOLUTION: A movable deflecting means 10 is arranged in an intake port 1a, and the movable deflecting means is operated to deflect an intake along the upper wall side of an intake port 1 at the even charge combustion so that the intake is supplied into the cylinder mainly from an exhaust valve side in an cylinder opening of the intake port, while the variable deflecting means is operated to deflect the intake along the lower wall side of the intake port at the stratified charge combustion so that the intake is supplied into the cylinder from the opposite exhaust valve side in the cylinder opening of the intake port.
