PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting method capable of completing work for remodeling a connecting part between the existing manhole and a pipe to an aseismatic structure inside the manhole. SOLUTION: The pipe 3 is fitted to a drilled hole part 2 of a manhole body 1 from outside, one side part of a rubber socket 6 is fixed to the outside of the end of the pipe in the manhole body, a metal-made collar 8 having a diameter larger than the outside diameter of the pipe and smaller than the inside diameter of the drilled hole part is fixed to the other side part of the rubber socket. After that, the metal-made collar is pushed in between the drilled hole part and the pipe, and the rubber socket is bent and reversed. A shock absorbing material 10 is injected through a gap between the outer peripheral surface of the metal-made collar and the inner surface of the drilled hole part, and lastly a connecting member 11 is injected between the outer peripheral surface of the metal-made collar and the inner surface of the drilled hole part.
