PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition suitable for cleansing the hair or the skin, excellent in foaming and having good feeling to users. SOLUTION: This detergent composition is obtained by formulating (A) an alkyl griceryl ether sulfonate with (B) a amphoteric surfactant and (C) an anionic surfactant. In the composition, total formulation amount of components (A), (B) and (C) is >=50 wt.% based on solid content and the formulation weight ratio of components (A) and (C) to the component (B) is (1-5):1 based on solid content.
