PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating material composition not requiring any pretreatment such as chemical treatment or grinding treatment to a magnesium alloy, and capable of developing excellent adhesion and rustproof performance even when the magnesium alloy is fabricated using a releasing agent. SOLUTION: This coating material composition for the magnesium alloy comprises 100 pts.wt., in total, of an epoxy resin comprising an epoxy resin not chelate-modified and an epoxy resin chelate-modified, and 10 to 30 pts.wt. of a chelate-modified fluoropolymer.
