PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve solubility, particularly low-temperature solubility of a solid detergent composition. SOLUTION: The solid detergent composition comprises a nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant. The detergent composition satisfies the formula (I):σ/Pav<0.5 [wherein Pav represents an average value of the concentration or relative concentration P of the surfactant every fine area when the cut cross section of the detergent composition is divided into a plurality of fine areas]. The method for producing the detergent composition is also provided.
