METHOD OF CONTROLLING MICROORGANISM IN THE PAPER-MAKING PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling microorganisms in the paper-making process that can suppress the number of the microorganisms at a low level in the system by suppressing the number of the microorganisms flowing into the white water circulation system in the paper-making process and permits the microbicide or the proliferation inhibitor to stably develop their excellent microbicidal effect for a long time and can effectively control the slime in the paper-making process. SOLUTION: An antimicrobial agent is added to a damaged paper-dissolved solution or its concentration-adjusted solution to reduce the number of the microorganisms less than 1×10<7> /mL, then they are subjected to the paper-making process. In another case, an antimicrobial agent is added to a damaged paper- dissolved solution or its concentration-adjusted solution to reduce the number of the microorganisms less than 1×10<7> /mL and they are mixed with the virgin pulp and the pulp is subjected to the paper-making process.
