摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely and promptly determine the failure of a switch means for releasing ACC control built in a booster main body. SOLUTION: In this controlling brake booster, a solenoid mechanism 35 propelling power pistons 7, 8 independently of an input rod 21 interlocking with a brake pedal BP is internally equipped in a booster main body BS. The solenoid mechanism 35 is controlled by an ACC 70 to make the booster main body BS function as an automatic brake, and controlling of the ACC 70 is released by an on-signal of a switch means 55 internally equipped to the booster main body BS. When controlling of the ACC 70 is stopped, in case that a releasing signal by the switch means 55 is not outputted even if a state that a signal of a brake lump switch 74 indicates a brake operating state and brake hydraulic pressure detected by a pressure sensor 77 provided on a master cylinder MS exceeds a specified pressure, the switch means 55 is determined as faulty.
