PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an under frame of a seat for a vehicle having high handling property. SOLUTION: The under frame of a seat for an automobile comprises a lower guide shoe 25 and a frame casing 21 having a movable fastener 27 having a side claw 66 movable between a lock position and a lead-in position. A device for operating the fastener is connected to a release cam 102 for usually holding a release finger 94 at a non-operation position. When the fastener 27 lies at the lead-in position, the release finger 94 moves to an operation position where the lower end of the release finger 94 projects under the frame casing while the upper end of the finger prevents movement of the release cam.
