PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the peripheral part of a fiber insertion hole 10 of a sleeve 7 from being damaged due to irradiation of reflected laser light from an object to be worked or incident laser light caused by mis-alignment between optical connectors C1 and C2 and the laser oscillator side and to surely prevent a jacket 2 from being damaged due to penetration of these light to the sleeve 7 when outputting high-output laser light from the laser oscillator to the object to be worked through a laser guide G to weld or cut a part to be worked. SOLUTION: A chip part 9 which has the fiber insertion hole 10 opened and is made of sapphire is provided in the front end part of the sleeve 7. A shielding member 14 having a fiber insertion hole 15 through which an exposed part 3 of a coated optical fiber 1 is inserted is provided in the sleeve 7. A scattering member 18 which scatters laser light transmitted in a clad 1b of the coated optical fiber 1 out of the coated optical fiber and is made of a quartz pipe is attached to the exposed part 3 of the coated optical fiber 1 in the sleeve 7.
