PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating box mounting structure for an engine generator allowing easy mounting and dismounting of an operating box at a trouble or maintenance of an engine or generator. SOLUTION: When the operating box 1 is mounted on the frame 2, each locking claw 9 of an upper part flange 5 is locked on each slit 14a of a second stay frame 14, at first. Then, an end plate 4c of the upper flange 4 is pressed in a first stay frame 11 along an upper lateral frame of the first stay frame 11. In the press-in process, projecting line 8 is fitted in a small hole 11b of an overhang part 11a to be positioned. When the operation box 1 is dismounted, the upper part flange 4 is disengaged from the first stay frame 11 by pushing up the overhang part 11a with a tool and breaking the projecting line 8 away from the small hole 11b and pulling the upper flange 4 out in near side. Then, the locking claws 9 are disengaged from the slits 14a with pulling the upper flange 4 in near side.
