Brushless DC motor

A brushless DC motor wherein a rotor (1) has a motor shaft (4), a rotor yoke (2) mounted on the motor shaft (4), and a ring-shaped magnet (3) magnetized so as to have a plurality of magnet poles in the circumferential direction thereof, and held by the rotor yoke (2). A stator has first and second stator yokes ( 5, 6 ), each having main magnetic poles ( 13 or 14 ) extending in the radial direction from the center thereof, magnetic pole pieces ( 21 or 22 ) extending in the vertical direction from tip ends of the main magnetic poles (13 or 14) along an inner peripheral surface of the ring-shaped magnet (3), a center yoke (7) surrounding the motor shaft (4) for connecting magnetically said first and second stator yokes ( 5, 6 ), a winding assembly (12) having an annular winding (8) ,and a printed wiring board (11), on which the annular winding (8), a electromagnetic conversion element (9) and a driving circuit are mounted.
