PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for controlling the force feed of a pump for cooling a beverage product applicable for a group of cooling tanks with massive and various cooling styles necessary for the process of manufacturing a fermented malt beverage such as beer, and securely and stably cooling the beverage. SOLUTION: The basic force feed control device consists of an open-type secondary refrigerant tank 12, a cooling tank group 21 forming a cooling load, reciprocating main carrier passages 10 and 11 connecting the secondary refrigerant tank 12 and the cooling tank group 21 for force-feeding the secondary refrigerant, a force feed pump 13, and a control part 14. Each cooling tank 75 constituting the cooling tank group 21 has a jacket heat exchanger and a gate valve for taking the secondary refrigerant into the heat exchanger.
