POWER GENERATING PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the building site of a power generating plant by packaging a steam turbine generator set and a boiler. SOLUTION: A mount made of steel structure steel plate 8 and 9 reinforced with steel structure framework 8 is introduced as the alternative to a conventional mount of reinforced concrete. A steel-framed support 14 of a boiler 2 is made partially common as the steel structure framework and a steam turbine installation composed of a steam turbine 4 and a generator 6 is installed on the upper part of a boiler to form a package of them. Thus the pipe arrangement connecting the boiler and the steam turbine can be extremely shortened and a term of construction work is reduced by making partially common the steel structure framework of the mount supporting the steam turbine installation and a strut of the boiler.
