PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength against bending load applied to a fitting for temporary work while securing easiness in attaching and detaching the fitting to and from a base. SOLUTION: This fitting used for mounting a main rope post 30 to the edge part of a horizontal beam member has a fitting body 10a formed with a lower side opposed face 14 formed along the lower face of the edge part, an upper side opposed face 15 formed along the upper face of the edge part, and a side face opposed face 16 formed along the side face of the edge part. A screw member 35 is rotatably fitted to the fitting body 10a, and the fitting body 10a is fastened to the horizontal beam member by the screw member 35 to prevent the detachment of the fitting 10. The whole of the lower side opposed face 14 contacts the edge part of the horizontal beam member, and the upper side opposed face 15 contacts the edge part. Bending force transmitted from the main rope post 30 to the fitting 10 is transmitted to the horizontal beam member through the fitting body 10a, but the bending force is not transmitted to the screw member 35.
