PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle different kinds of articles with excellent storage efficiency by reducing a dead space. SOLUTION: A first transfer part 25 for transferring a first body 51, and a second transfer part 26 for transferring a second body 52 are provided in a taking-out and -in means 10. A first rack device 30 having a storage space 35 for supporting the first body 51 and a second rack device 40 having a storage space 45 for supporting the second body 52 are provided in both sides of the means 10. The different kinds of articles are stored in the both rack devices while classified according to the kinds, a pair of transfer parts classified by the kinds is provided in the common taking-out and -in means, heights of the both storage spaces in the both rack devices are thereby set to be conformed to heights of the bodies, and the vertical-directional dead space in the storage space is reduced thereby to enhance the storage efficiency. Supporting for the articles in the taking-out and -in means is stabilized by the respective transfer parts.
