PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration or the like caused by a tire with a different diameter in four wheel drive running. SOLUTION: This method comprises a unit amount calculating process of detecting a differential rotation speed of a rear wheel for a front wheel of a four wheel drive vehicle and converting the differential rotation speed to a unit amount affected by no car speed and a determining process of a tire with a different diameter of determining whether or not the diameter of the rear wheel is different from that of the front wheel based on the unit amount. The method comprises, after the determining process of the tire with the different diameter, a correction value calculating process of calculating a correction value corresponding to the differential rotation speed caused by the tire with the different diameter of the differential rotation speed based on the unit amount, when the tire with the different diameter is determined in the determining process and the four wheel drive vehicle is in the four wheel drive running state. The method further comprises a differential restricting process of controlling distribution of driving forces transmitted to the front wheel and the rear wheel based on a value derived by subtracting the correction value from the detected differential rotation speed.
