A coupling apparatus for adjustably mounting modular tooling members includes a base member (12) releasably connected to a slide mount (14) wherein said base member (12) is adjustably located along a predetermined path of travel defined by the slide mount (14). A midportion (16) is connected to, and rotatably adjustable about a first axis relative to, the base member (12) via a pair of circular contoured surfaces formed with respective V-shaped teeth which inter-engage with one another. An end member (18) is similarly connected to, and rotatably adjustable about a second axis relative to, the midportion (16). The end member (18) is formed with an aperture for releasably receiving and engaging an end of a boom rod (20), the other end of the boom rod (20) being attached to a workpiece handling device such as a vacuum cup, clamp or gripper. <IMAGE> |
