SOLUTION: This easily eatable boiled rice is obtained by forming with an arbitrary shape boiled rice 2 mainly comprising rice before freezing the resultant product, coating the surface of the frozen formed boiled rice 2a with a heat solidifying coating liquid 4, heating the resultant product with high temperature from the outside to solidify at least part of the coating liquid 4 and freezing again the resultant product as it is. As a result of this, the coating liquid 4 does not go into the formed boiled rice 2a, the boiled rice does not loose and get out of shape and moisture more than necessary does not splash even if the boiled rice is defrosted by heating when eating, the subject of shortening cooking time when eating can be cleared, and the boiled rice 2 after being defrosted by heating can obtain palate feeling of just boiled rice, correspond to various usages and rouse new demand for rice. |
