PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding robot for spot welding capable of rapidly and finely carrying out grinding, in grinding of each electrode tip. SOLUTION: The welding robot 1, for spot welding is provided with a servogun 5, which is held at the tip of an articulated arm 2, and mounted with a pair of electrode tips for welding, and a control device 3 controlling the operation inclusive of a servomotor 6 in welding and grinding of each electrode tip. A dresser 18 for grinding each electrode tip is provided with a servomotor 27 rotating a cutter 30 for grinding. The control drive 3 controls the number of revolution of a servomotor 27 in the dresser, and controls the servomotor 6 of the servogun so as to make the press force to a cutter of each electrode tip adjustable, and in the finishing grinding process of each electrode tip, the number of revolution of the cutter is increased larger than that in a rough finishing process and the press force to the cutter is decreased to carry out and grinding. |
