PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the influence of the scattering of trim scraps on the quality of the surface of a product, the damage to the surrounding equipment and stopping of a trimming device, and to enable to continue operation even when a guide is stuffed with the trim scraps. SOLUTION: Whether the treatment of trim scraps is normal or not is judged by the change of a chopper driving prime mover load. When judged to be abnormal, the trim scraps are forcibly removed from the guide.
