PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize joining quality not generating shrinkage and the same as or better than that of the conventional mechanical joint, with small man- hours and low-costs, in joining of reinforcements. SOLUTION: The joining method by butting mutually the tips of two reinforcements 1, 2, whose base ends are restrained, comprises a process for cutting both the tip parts of the two reinforcements to form the space between the both tip faces in the predetermined distance, a process for making insert and hold a cylindrical joint chip 3 whose thickness is approximately the same as the distance between the chip faces of the reinforcement and whose diameter is larger than the reinforcement, a process for heating the tip part of both the reinforcements inclusive of the joint chip to the temperature easily causing the plastic flow, and a process for pressing the joint chip in the inner direction of the diameter to deform the joint chip in the axial direction, thereby joining the chip to both the reinforcements.
