PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slitter device capable of lowering the replacement frequency by lengthening the life of a cutting blade so as to improve the productivity. SOLUTION: In the course of conveying a sheet in slitting, the sheet 53 is moved in the direction of thickness in a designated range to thereby change a slit point in the cutting blade 51 for slitting the sheet 53, whereby local use of the cutting blade 51 can be avoided, and the life of the cutting blade 51 can be lengthened to lower the replacement frequency and improve the productivity. For example, in the case where a sheet holding means is an eccentric roller, the eccentric roller 22 is driven to rotate, thereby continuously displacing the sheet running position to the cutting blade 51. The sheet holding means may be formed by a rotatable free roller 31, and the free roller 31 may be moved in the direction of thickness in a comparatively simple mechanical structure.
