PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing material which is formed by drying various type natural charcoals and various type plant materials by a paper fiber so as to be used in a futon or bedding or a pillow or in a room, a furniture, a refrigerant or the like or to treat an excrement or a urine in the case of keeping a pet such as a cat, a dog or the like and which has an excellent deodorizing effect. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for manufacturing the deodorizing material, a pulp fiber or a used paper piece such as a newspaper is fibrillated. The apparatus mixes various type materials of the paper fiber 5, a carbide 2 obtained by comminuting various type carbides 2 in a powder state or particle state, a zeolite 3, the various type plant material 4 together with water, then drips the water, finely chops up the materials, dries the materials to form the materials in a river sand-like state. The apparatus inexpensively provides the deodorizing material which mixes the natural charcoal and which has the excellent deodorizing effect.
