SOLUTION: In the automatic opening/closing device for the toilet lid/the toiled seat, the force generated in a driving force transmission means transmitting the force from a drive source is detected and the drive source is controlled by using the information. By detecting the force transmitted from the drive source and controlling the drive source by it, the generation of the force causing the danger to the human body is prevented.
