PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical motor-driven opening/closing device used for a flush toilet with excellent workability, capable of suppressing power at the time of opening and closing an opening/closing member. SOLUTION: The motor-driven opening/closing device is provided with a turning shaft 15 for mounting attaching base parts 12 and 14 of the opening/ closing member composed of a rotatably arranged toilet seat 11 or toilet lid 13 whose closed position is practically at a horizontal position and open position is at an oblique vertical position exceeding a vertical position further, a buffer member 16 directly or indirectly attached to the turning shaft 15 for braking the free rotation of the opening/closing member, a driving member 18 with an eccentric member 17 provided matching a shaft center with the turning shaft 15 for lifting the opening/closing member from the closed position to the position exceeding the vertical position before the open position by being normally rotated and lifting the opening/closing member from the open position to the position exceeding the vertical position by being inversely rotated, and a rotation drive source 19 for normally or inversely rotating the driving member 18 as needed. The opening/closing member can be manually opened and closed.
