PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging method for a cup member with a stem, and the cup member with the stem capable of reducing the working man-hours, and restraining the working cost. SOLUTION: An outer joint member 11 is provided with a stem part 13 and a cup part 18. On the outer periphery of the stem part 13, a caulking groove 25 for caulking a caulking part of a cauking nut is provided. On the tip part of the stem part 13, a conical-shaped center hole 26 for making a working machine such as a lathe support the outer joint member 11 is provided. Since the caulking groove 25 and the caulking hole 26 can be formed by warm forging approximately at the same time, the both can be formed without deformation.
