PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the utility gained when a germanium small piece is attached to a human body by amplifying an effect which negatively ionizes moisture and gas in the surrounding by germanium and to utilize the negatively ionizing effect of germanium for plant growth facilitation, raising/cultivation of fishes or shellfishes, fermentation facilitation of garbage, air cleaning and water quality improvement, etc. SOLUTION: This negative ion generator consists of one or multiple germanium pieces 2 and a magnet 1 which is equipped in contact with one side surface of the germanium piece or oppositely in the vicinity of the surface. In specialty, this negative ion generator is composed of the almost doughnut-like magnet and plural pieces of germanium which are arranged on the flat surface of the magnet at an equal interval. This negative ion generator is, furthermore, composed of the almost doughnut-like magnet, a disk 3 made of iron which is confronted with the bottom surface of the almost doughnut-like magnet and a projected part 3a made of iron which is disposed on the center of the disk made of iron and is protruded into a central hole 1a of the almost doughnut-like magnet.
