PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of preventing leakage of the excretion from around fixed both end parts by securely raising free side parts located near the fixed both ends parts of a leakage preventive sheet. SOLUTION: The diaper 1 has leakage preventive sheets 14 attached near the both side edges 4b of a core 4 inserted between front and rear surface sheets 2 and 3, and each leakage preventive sheet 14 has a fixed side part 14a and a free side part 14b and fixed both end parts brought down inward in the direction of the girth. First and second girth side parts 9 and 10 of front and rear girth regions 5 and 7 are connected via band-shaped first and second connection sheets 16 and 17. The first and second connection sheets 16 and 17 have both end parts 16a and 17a and intermediate parts 16b and 17b fixed to the free side parts 14b located near the fixed both end parts, and the free side parts 14b are raised up above the front surface sheet 2.
