PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marker for a living thing imparting no load to the natural environment even when the marked object living thing dies in the natural environment, capable of being easily detected and completely removed from the marked object living thing. SOLUTION: This biodegradable marker for the living thing comprises a composition mainly comprising a biodegradable polymer. The biodegradable polymer is preferably an aliphatic polyester-based polymer. The composition preferably contains 1-200 pts.wt. inorganic powder which brings the marker as a foreign material of the marked object living thing based on 100 pts.wt. biodegradable polymer.
