PURPOSE: A telescopic device of a steering column for a vehicle is provided to perform exact assembly and to reduce noise by improving the structure of a stopper. CONSTITUTION: A telescopic device(30) of a steering column for a vehicle has a hollow housing(50), a tube(60) inserted in the housing, and a stopper(70) installed on a side of the housing, to control the radial gap between the housing and the tube. The stopper pressurizes the tube. The stopper has a slot(71) formed on an outer side of the tube; a hollow mounting unit(72) extended on a side of the housing, to communicated with the slot; a bolt(73) inserted in the mounting unit; a nut(74) coupled with the outer distal end of the bolt; an elastic member(75) installed at the inner distal end of the bolt; and a bush(80) adhered to the outer surface of the tube by the elastic member. A distal end of the bush is inserted in the slot. Inferiority in the mounting of the bush and clearance are prevented, and noise occurred by friction during sliding motion of the tube is reduced.
