PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core bit for boring concrete, stone, etc. SOLUTION: The core bit comprises a cylindrical base metal 2, an adapter member 6 for connecting to a boring machine joined to an end of the base metal in the axial direction of the base metal, and a sintered chip 5 containing superabrasive grains joined to the other end of the base metal in the axial direction of the base metal. The two members of the base metal are fitted to each other at the fitting part provided nearer to the end part joined to the chip in the axial direction of the base metal by adhesives. Thus the vibration noise caused by boring is shut out at the fitting part, and the resonance of the whole core bit can be prevented. The fitting part can be detached without applying strong force to the base metal because of the use of the adhesives. Thus parts exchange can be performed easily and the base metal can be recycled.
