PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean the air in a room even when the contaminated state of the air is changed. SOLUTION: An air conditioner comprises a filter 12 contained in a housing section 26 provided in a body case 1 to clean the air sucked into the case 1 by the drive of a blower 15 to blow out the air out of the case 1. The air conditioner further comprises supports 17 provided in the case 1 to selectively support the filters 12a, 12b having different depths. Since the filters having the different depths can be respectively mounted, the filters are interchanged to be used in response to the dirt of the using room and to efficiently clean the air.
