PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for washing the interior of a tank at a low cost. SOLUTION: The method for washing the interior of the tank comprises a first step of draining an oil stored in an oil tank 10 to be washed, a second step of filling the oil tank 10 with a warm light oil to dissolve a sludge S and draining the warm light oil with the sludge S dissolved therein out of the oil tank 10, and a third step of cleaning the interior of the oil tank 10 to remove a remaining sludge that has not been dissolved in the warm light oil.
