METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING CAR

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for remotely controlling a car is provided to enable an extension call communication between a car and a mobile unit by installing a fixed unit of a mobile phone in the car, and remotely control the car free of charge. CONSTITUTION: A car is parked(330). A mobile unit is in a standby state(340). If the car is to be controlled remotely, the mobile unit transmits a transmission data so that the fixed unit is automatically destined and captures a channel(370). A DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) signal and an ID signal required for a remote control are transmitted to the fixed unit(380). If the ID of the mobile unit is correct(390), the car is controlled according to the DTMF signal(420). A result of the car controlling is checked(430) and a corresponding message is transmitted to the mobile unit(440). The mobile unit receives the message(450) and cuts off an extension call communication(460) to return to the standby state(470).
