MULTICOLOR COATING METHOD OF EXTERIOR CASE OF CELLULAR PHONE EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying a multicolor coating on an exterior case of cellular phone equipment which is suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: After a coating of the first color paint has been applied on the exterior case (upper cap side) of cellular phone, the second color masking model 11 is mounted from the upper side to conduct the masking of the center side of the exterior case 10 at a predetermined position of the surface of the exterior body 10 which is painted in the first color and which is fitted to jigs 5 each fixed at the upper side of rotatable spindles 4 continuously arranged in a distance on a conveyor line 3 which passes the proximity of the jetting nozzle 2 of a spray gun coating apparatus. Spray coating of the second color paint is applied on the surface of the exterior case 10 except the covered part by the masking model 11 from the jetting nozzle 2 of the spray gun coating apparatus while rotating the spindle 4 which moves on the conveyor line 3. The masking model 11 is removed by lifting it from the exterior body 10 after drying. The method is characterized by conducting the flow production system consisting of a series of the above steps on the conveyor line 3.
