PURPOSE: A brush roll for removing over coated plating formed on the strip edge is provided to remove an over coated plating part formed thick on the strip edge and upper and lower surfaces adjacent to the strip edge during electroplating to result in the generation of product defects by forming build up parts when fabricating coil products. CONSTITUTION: In a brush roll comprising first brush(11), second brush(12), third brush(13) and fourth brush(14), wherein the first brush(11) and third brush(13) are rotated in the same direction, and the second brush(12) and fourth brush(14) are rotated in an opposite direction, the brush roll(10) for removing over coated plating formed on the strip edge is characterized in that extension parts(11a,14a) are formed on the end part of the first brush(11) and fourth brush(14) respectively, and the extension parts(11a,14a) are extended by 3 to 7 mm more than the conventional end part of the first brush(11) and fourth brush(14).
