PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of eliminating foreign matter made of iron in molding sand, and capable of preventing defective molding sand from being supplied to a green sand molding machine. SOLUTION: The molding sand supply device is provided with a hopper 1 storing temporalily the molding sand, a belt conveyor 3 disposed on the bottom position of the hopper 1, taking out and carry the molding sand in the hopper 1 to the green sand molding machine 2, a foreign matter removing means of magnet system constituting a belt pulley of the belt conveyor 3 and having a magnet force to attract and remove the foreign matter made of the metal from the molding sand, a sensor 5 discriminating the propriety of the molding sand in the hopper 1, a device 6 blocking falling sand on the belt conveyor 3 based on the discrimination result of the sensor 5, and a control means 7 transmitting a command for reversing a conveyor belt on the belt conveyor 3 based on the discrimination result of the sensor 5.
